HCHD is a designated Level IV trauma facility prepared to care for patients experiencing all types of health care emergencies, including snake bites, fractures, lacerations, burns, and motor vehicle accidents. As a designated Level IV trauma facility, HCHD stabilizes patients experiencing a traumatic injury or event and prepares them for transfer, if needed, to a higher-level facility. This process improves outcomes and the chance of a patient’s full recovery.
